Hi.
I have just bidded for a Boots "Th50" VINTAGE Slide Projector on ebay. Would this be any good for a mini projector?
I want to make something similar to the one in this thread:

As stated by a few of the guys that have already completed these projectors the results are not great by any means...That and those particular ps1 2.5inch lcd they are using aint available in OZ makes me suggest save your $$$'s and grab a 5 inch PS1 or Game cube panel and experiment with that (these can be bought in OZ new from toyworld or toyz R Us Kmart etc) , you will be happier in the long run with your end result. You might even get away using the optics from the slide projector you are bidding on. (Lens will most likely be a little small though) Either way though good luck with your PJ efforts and welcome to the forum good to see all these Aussies getting on here.
Ok I have read the entire thread. Still looks pretty good for me.
I dont want to spend much on an LCD since this is my first projector.
I was thinking of getting a small 2.3" - 2.5" TV with composite input and using that on the slide projector.
Only really want a small screen size 40" - 60" just for playing xbox media center for videos.
Do you think it will be alright for that?
Yeah I didn't think there would be any aussies on here.
