Hi Bill,
You could have a shorted rectifier, output transistor(s) or filter capacitor. These are very reliable PA amplifiers and well worth fixing. These also sound better than most other paging amplifiers. You can check these parts with your meter on the diode junction detect setting. You should isolate the rectifiers, and the filter capacitors. Same holds true for any other part, like a transistor. Take you time and work through it.

so it managed to stay on for a few seconds and two capacitors started smoking they were 27ohm10%7w and a resistor on the circuit board completely burnt up. it sucks that this happened but does it help diagnose whats going on and would any pics of the inside of the amp help

well the 27ohm 10% 7w i found out are power resistors and i dont have a multimeter so i cant test any parts. i figure i should just replace those but there is a resistor on the circuit board thats burnt so i need a schematic to figure what value it is. anyone know where i can get a schematic? i think that one burnt out because a wire that goes from the faulty power resistor goes directly to the resistor on the board. im not completely sure if im right on this theory

Hi Bill,
so i have replaced 3 resistors that were bad and it still hasn't fixed this darn thing....
Okay, so now you have fixed some of the effects of the problem, you have to find the actual problem(s).
is there a possibility of the power supply putting out way to much voltage?
Very unlikely, but remotely possible.
would you be able to help me identify where those are
How do you hope to even communicate with us?
and i dont have a multimeter
So, why are you even attempting this to begin with? I'm not trying to be mean, but there isn't any framework for you to process the answers or to even answer a question from people who try to help you. Keep in mind that those who repair amplifiers (say) properly have had years of training.

If you intend on doing anything with electronics at all, you are going to have to do some work on understanding the subject first. I don't know anyone who would even consider working on stuff without a half decent meter. Those sell for $200 plus. A really good handheld is $400 ~ $600. Soldering equipment is also important. You should have a soldering station (only around $100 CDN). Those hobby irons will damage more things than they will fix. An expert can use a cheap iron. A new comer needs the more expensive station. Notice that folks who know what they are doing invest in half decent tools and equipment. There must be some reason why they do.

Anyway Bill, I don't want to cut you down. But, you need some kind of realistic idea as to what you need to do. You have to be able to respond to questions intelligently. Otherwise the amount of time and effort it takes to help you is asking far too much from anyone. Putting in some effort at your end shows a kind of respect for those who would try to help you.
