BMW 750Li Logic 7 Troubles

Hello, I have a Logic 7 amplifier with no subwoofers and some Internet research has shown that TDA1562Q amplifier chips will solve the problem. I am not into sound systems or audio repairs so I was wondering if anyone has tried this repair found here:

and whether or not it worked out for them. It looks as though it may works but like I said, I am not an audio guy. Any thoughts? Help appreciated. Cheers.

Hi @Perry Babin. As far as I can tell from documentation I have been able to find, this is a Class D amplifier. I have seen you on another post with this Logic 7 so I was hoping you or someone may have some insight into this unit. From the documents I have found, the TDA1562Q should connect right up to it but In was hoping to hear from someone who has done it.
My experience with audio is minimal although I can probably figure it out with some reading and a good kick in the **** to get motivated.

I don't know enough about the circuit. Class D ICs sometimes need a PWM signal. Others need audio. If yours was driven with audio, the generic audio amp may work but it would need a heatsink and some way to mount the heatsink securely.

In the class D section of this forum you may find someone who can help find the correct IC. They may be able to identify it with nothing more than the layout and package size.
