I have added a Bluetooth blue tooth digital receiver assembled board kit to my 2x15W Class-D Stereo Power Amp Kit using a 5V-16V Linear DC voltages Power Supply DIY Kit - LM317 to regulate the power from an 18V LiIon cordless drill battery intending to make a bluetooth portable boom box.My problem is the bluetooth picks up a mass a interference. If I use a separate power source for the bluetooth all is well but I want to use just one battery.
I have tried grounding the regulator but that does nothing. Is the DC regulator the problem (has twin outlets 5v and variable)? What can I do to suppress the interference?

I have answered this question in about 3 other threads before. Search Bluetooth groundloop. Short answer is you need isolated DC to DC converter. Murata makes one from 12v to 5v called MEExxxxx. Nothing else other than separate supplies will work. Costs $6 from Digikey.
