Bluetooth Antenna

I bought a little bluetooth unit and would like to mount it in a small plastic case. My question, should I leave the antenna exposed or would it be okay enclosed in a plastic case?

It'll be fine in a plastic case. It would not work so well in a metal case.

Thanks Tom. I want to maximize distance and thought exposing antenna would help but now that I think about it I've never seen an exposed bt antenna.

The frequency needs a small antenna.
The track is long enough for that.
Metal will screen the signal.
Mount it high up if you feel like.
