Greetings All
I'm looking for anyone who has experience of setting up the Output Stage of the Warwick Xtreme 10.1 Bass amp. It runs 6 NpN and 6 PnP devices, unlike the newer version that runs 10 of each.
The amp runs supply rails of plus and minus 110volts, so there is not much room for error!
On the Schematic I have, there is no mention of how to set up the Quiescent Current in the stage, or what the values should be. The original devices got blown up by the use of a 2 Ohm load, so it would be good to get this right first time around.
Also, I have seen that there are many counterfeit versions of the 2SC5200 and 2SA1943 devices. How are You able to absolutely identify the genuine from the pretend?
Thanks for any info!
