SRPP would be half bridge, which would be two 38HE7 stacked, using the damper diodes antiparallel to clamp flyback. Essentially what I have now, in parallel with its inverse. It's harder to drive. Push-pull is easier to pull off, and equivalent in operation, however. Too bad I only have the one 38HE7.

You're right, a CCS could be used, about doubling AC output. But it's hard to make tube CCsources, and I don't have a 200mA * 160V tube that could still be used in the contest.
