Can Black RTV Silicone be used on Subwoofer Rubber Sourround?

Pro-Seal RTV Silicone Sealant, 3 oz Tube, Black: Hardware Sealers: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

If yes, how strong is it compared to special speaker glue and what are advantages/disadvantages using Black RTV on the woofer surround. See pictures.

I have always used Evostik as it is petroleum based and stays flexible.

Hello,
You can use e6000 for the surrounds, also amazing goop. There is a best of the 2 and on e6000 they have "Black" for electronics and amazing goop they have" Max 2"
Either of these will work great.

I would use a good contact adheasive/ rubber cement, i have done many recone's with loctite mr5412. Greg
