Hello, thanks for stopping by.
I build my own tube amps, pres, FX and things, and have an opportunity to bid on some older equipment that my company needs to move on. They just purchased some very expensive high end scopes, signal generators and power supplies.
I was hoping that some of you might comment on these models so I may better pick one or two to bid on. Thank you! There is:
BK Precision 3017A Function generator
Wavtek FG2C Function generator
Leader LFG-1310 function generator
and for power supplies:
BK Precision 1746B DC power supply 16V @ 10A
Harrison 6286 power supply DC 1-24V, @ 12A
I notice that the the BK and Leader function generators have sweep and/or burst functions which I'm thinking are good features for testing audio equipment.
There is also a Fluke 8050A digital multimeter which looks like something good to have around besides my typical DMM.
Thanks for commenting!

Thank you for your input on these items - they were definitely helpful in my bidding directives.
I ended up winning a few things useful to me, and I got the one I really had my eye on!
1. Leader LFG-1310 function generator - $45.00
2. Fluke 8050A benchtop DMM - $25.00
3. GW Instek GPR-1810HD power supply - $6.00
If the Leader function generator was all I came out with I'd be happy but along with the other items and a Siglent 1104E-X 4 channel oscilloscope coming for Christmas I'll finally have a moderately well rounded out Build/Test bench at home.
The GW power supply was that cheap because the Current limit feature can get stuck at 3 amps if used heavy over a long time period (like defibrillator shocking). I probably won't be pushing very much as a general rule, maybe to heat tube filaments now and then but its OK. I'll still get use out of it and at 6 buck I'm not complaining.
Thanks again, it was a bit of fun and got some good tools out of it!

I made a 'mini' work bench in my laundry during COVID and bought this blue anti static mat
https://www.mektronics.com.au/premium-anti-static-bench-matting-blue-600mm-x-1-2m.htmlThe bench was exactly 1.2m wide and the mat was a excellent fit and with no cutting.
Then I use an A3 cutting pad on top of the static mat for heavy duty handling of equipment repairs.
Happy benching!

Thanks for stopping by,
My work told me to keep the ESD mat they gave me from when working at home which is nice. I made a mess out of it with all the soldering I did on it but, till this day it is still plugged into the ground terminal in the bedroom and hopefully providing static protection. I have a few old vintage Lexicons I'm tending to that I'm sure really appreciate that protection (about 150-200 chips in each one). Now, going to build a shelf out of the wood from an old California King water bed that we just took down. I might do that today to get all this good used equipment off the floor and in use!
Thanks,
