Hoping to build a new subwoofer to go along with some 2 pi speakers I'll be building this winter. Unfortunately, I've been planning to use the SI HT18 for the longest time and it just recently has been discontinued. So no using that I guess. In my mind, that was literally the ultimate value when it came to subwoofers; ridiculous displacement for only 160$. Now I'm looking for a replacement that could fill those shoes I had planned for the HT18. My biggest goal is to be able to hit down to 20hz with authority. Currently I have a Sundown Audio E12 v2 in a Transmission line enclosure (that was previously in my car, but it was the best I had at the time). It can dig down that deep, but not with any real power. Hoping to remedy that with more displacement 😀. Any recommendations under 200$?
The traditional PiSpeakers Subs with LAB12 come to mind. In case you want something more personal get the max. Net volume you have available for each driver/speaker that will be conditioning the LF extension.

I made a spreadsheet for that. You're right, the SI gives you the most 'bang for the buck.' But the Alpine SWS-15 is available from Amazon, Google Shopping, and your local car audio dealer. And it delivers 85% of the value of the SI sub.

Hi CaptCrawfish,
Sugg.: Try instead a T-TQWT:
Adding a Sub (T-TQWT) using Alpine_SWR-15D2.

What a great looking box. I paid $125 for mine from Car Audio Giants in Redlands. For an extra $50 over OP's budget, he could get two! (And that includes delivery.)
