Hi..hoping to get some help on this one.
I'm looking for a projection panel to use in the classroom. I figure a projecion panel is much more economical way because of the expense for lcd projector bulbs. If I'm using a Dell Inspiron 600 with a SXGA screen, I believe the resolution is 1400x1050.
Would using a projection panel that only has 640x480 work?
My wife will most likely only be using this for powerpoint presentations. I want to save the life of my Xerox color printer from making transparencies every nite...lol. Also I thought I have heard of magnetic pens being able to write onto these panels??
thanks for any help.

To visualize what a 640 x 480 powerpoint presentation will look like, set your dell to 640 x 480 and view the powerpoint. If it is acceptable then a 640 x 480 panel will display exactly what your computer is displaying.

If you have XP go to start/control panel/appearance and themes/display/settings tab/advanced button/adapter tab/ click on "list all modes". Select 640 x 480 at 60hz. I don't remember if you use 16bit color or 256 color. Try both.
