My spirits are high 😀 because I just won a proxima ovation 822c for $36.80 and that's including shipping! 😀 It came with a cyclops, the original case, a power supply, a vga cable, and a power supply!

Here is a link: Here

The reason why it sold for so cheap was that they said it was frozen. And that the LED goes from "Freeze" to "shift". But I noticed that there was a previous incident that I looked up in this forum, and they said all you have to do is turn on the power, plug in an svideo cord, turn it off, then turn it back on. Does this work in all incidences?

Now it's time to search for OHP's!

Thanx eBay

Score!

I believe you just made an excellent purchase.
I have this exact same model, and I'm pretty sure that what you, and the seller, are describing is just normal operation for the display.

The Ovation has to have a video source connected ( and working ) before the Ovation will automatically sink up to the source. Without a video source, and powering up the unit, mine acts the same way.
Just remember to connect and power ON your DVD, computer, game station, etc, before turning on the LCD Display.

It doesn't sound like the seller did enough testing, and lost out on some cash.
Good luck.

I have the same problem guys, but I think this is more serious...I tried what you said above...the flashing stopped for a few seconds and then started again. I didn't use this panel for 2 years, and now I'm trying to make it work. Before it was working fine, I uesd it for a few presentations. Anyway, there is something wrong because I got mad and hit it on a side and the flashing stopped and I could use the buttons flash and freeze normally...Anyway, please tell me...if I can make it work, I have to change the resolution to my PC monitor to 640:480?

Sounds like your Ovation has a few more problems, LionHeart. Sometimes you just have to get tough with them.
You probably have a loose connection on one of your video input ports. And yes, you do have to set your computer to 640x480 resolution before you connect it to the Ovation. I got mine to work at 800x600 sometimes, but not always, and not sure why.
Good luck.

my best deal is:
2x Proxima Ovation 820 for 15 $ 😉

Wow, that is cheap, but did it come with the power supply, remote, original manual, cyclops, vga cable, and a hardcase?

I still can't wait until I get mine, I'll update you guys on if it works, or if it is having problems like lionheart's. It is pretty questionable 😕

so don't go away, I'll be right back, after these messages.

Thanks guys, I managed to change the resolution. But I can't do anything with it anyway. Now it's complete blank, it does not respond at all. The signal is right, because I can connect my monitor to the PC using the panel. And I just wanted to see if it works in order to sell it. Now, obviously I can't do that anymore. Please let me know if you think of something else to do to make it work

What do you mean by trying the S-video inputs, I am not much of a specialist

If I'm not mistaken, this panel can accept vga, s-video, and composite signals. Attached is a pic of the connectors. If you have a video card with tv-out, you could connect it to the panel to test it. You could use a stand alone dvd player or vcr as well.
