Hi.ive recently built some Tony Gee Proteus speakers, but using the seas ca 18rnx's instead, same tweeter.Tony came up with a crossover design, saying that the values may have to be played with, and left it at that. But am finding them lacking in the bass department.

some help would be much appreciated.

Model the drivers in your built enclosure and see what the F3 looks like. I looked at the pdf graphs in Tony's writeup....they might actually sound a bit bass light. They might have an F3 in the 50Hz range or possibly higher, depending on how he balanced the overall crossover.
You also might want to check your drivers to see if the T/S parameters are close to manufacturers specs. REW plus a pretty simple jig is a good way to go and inexpensive.
Finally room interaction and placement has a huge impact. Try placing the speaker in your listening position and play bass heavy music. Walk around the area where you might be able to put speakers and figure out where it sounds best.
