Just to be clear, this opportunity is open to everyone, worldwide. Is no one else contemplating building a balanced power conditioner? The savings on the toroid could be considerable even if the group buy is just five units total (though the discount rises nicely again at 10 units).

I'm surprised by the stirring response to this opportunity. How is it that no one anywhere interested in building a balanced power conditioner? Are there alternative suppliers that people are using, or is this simply a project no one cares about?

I think power conditioners can be controversial, perhaps. You may be able to drum up some interest by posting links to a few threads with builds and/or schematics that show what could be built. It would go further if those threads included measured performance improvements with various amplifiers (or other gear).

An interesting point. Okay, I'm happy to prime the pump. Here are a couple of designs and an article extolling the virtues of this project. I borrowed a balanced power conditioner from vdi_nenna (a friend and very long-standing member here) and was wowed by its impact on two of my systems (the big solid state rig and the tube-based stereo). I can wait another few days before pulling the plug on this rare, invaluable and enormously satisfying opportunity.
