i want to bypass or remove the balance control /pot in my 116 NAD preamp
since it has always played more in one canal then the other.
it is a 4 pot balnce ?
any ideers ?

What if when you have removed the balance and one channel plays more.
Then you can not adjust.

It's the simplest type of balance control, a single pot connected between the two channels
with its wiper grounded. Just disconnect the pot terminals and that function will be gone.
You'll have more gain as well.

i see, so what you are saying is that removing the pot (already done)
and leaving the joins on the PCB staying open and not jump in any way is the right way about it ??
i have measured it to be the balance pot that is cause for the problem and if it should still play off more to one then the other canal, there is in my opinion something wrong some other place :eek :🙂
