Just wanted to disclose that I did measure them a few days ago with my DATS setup and found out Fs is close to 40 hz on both. Factory spec is 30 hz. I don't think they'll drop a full 10 hz when broken in. B&C is usually pretty close with their specs and these are authentic drivers from Parts Express so I'm not sure if they changed their specs without updating the spec sheet.
How do you break them in properly? Sorry I'm definitely not as tech as I would like to be! Lol I've always been obsessed with speakers and the furthest I've gotten with working on them is reforming. I recently found what I thought was a pretty good deal on 4 sl36 cerwin cabs. When I got them I didn't have a way to hook them up so I tested them with a meter and found one woofer no good. Got a better deal. Fast forward to last weekend I tested them all and the 1 was definitely bad. Opened it up and saw that it was an eminence jay7011. I have a guy that can recone it but figured I should open all of them and at the least see whats going on and have him bench test all of them. What a mess.. Can you guess what one in the pic was bad? Lol. I've already got a couple B&C 18tbx46-8's I will be replacing two of these with. I wish I could find 2 more but been impossible to find and they're discontinued. How do you feel these ones you have would pair up? Sorry for the novel.
