So this is a long overdue shoutout to vdi_nenna. He so graciously sold me a BOZ pre that is solidly built. He also gave me a long list of suggestions for mods/improvements. The thing that makes this so awesome, besides the sweet gear, is that he then donated the money back into diyaudio.com.
This just goes to show that this is an amazing community that has the right priorities.
Top notch, Vince. Top notch.
Cheers

If I'm not mistaken, Vince is also the first member of diyaudio.
Pretty close, he is member #4 and I'm not sure, other than Jason, who the other two might be.
Outstanding, thoughtful and helpful community indeed….AND, with little of the flame-throwing so prevalent on other forums,

Vince is a class act. He's helped and/or advised me on several projects and the things he's working on are really, really impressive. He's passionate about audio and is committed to the ideals that diyAudio represents. A nice guy, too.

#2 and #3 are both Jason's accounts from what I can see. #1 gives a strange result, since that account was created in 2009 😀
/U. (number 64 btw - god how time flies 😉 )
#1 is a diyAudio account but its one and only post was in 2009 so that's when it was assigned a number.#2 and #3 are both Jason's accounts from what I can see. #1 gives a strange result, since that account was created in 2009 😀
#2 is Jason
#3 I can't find
#4 is Vince so I guess he qualifies as the first member of the public, so Dennis is correct. I wonder what either of them get as a prize? 🙂
Cal, most of my jokes don't translate well. 😀
I may have joined first (#1), but you guys are the best.
I needed to be here first because I needed the most help. 🙂

I have been in electronics/software for 35+ years but I am still learning.
Electronics is such a broad subject its almost impossible to become an expert in every area.
I have put new projects into a thread only to find an expert has brought something to my attention that I had missed.

You build therefore you are.
That's it. What other proof is there?
