Hi guys,
I am now having a terrible problem, pls help me!
I changed the drive tube and when I was adjusting the bias of the diver tube to 10mVDC relative to each other at the two bias adjust point, A resistor blew up out with smoke. I don't know what kind It is and where to buy it. PLS help me!I can not take it to AR agent, because not available in my country from Asia. I just can buy it from somewhere out, ship to my home country and replace it then.Pls note that this resistor connect to a transitor(may be) with the heating free on it.
Mny tks to your help. ASAP pls! I am down with nervous! This í some pictures of it.

Hopefully you are not asking about the value 🙂
I think it's a Roederstein Resista MK8 2W. Possibly available from Michael Percy. Chances are the corresponding mosfets are also blown.
Tks Zero Cool,
I am not actually familiar with this. I could not find Chris Ossana email or phone on the audioresearch.com. Could you pls kindly get me his email on here?
Gratefully!

I totally do not know whether any part of my VT100 blown also or not. I just turn it of emmediately when the resistor burn out(like a tube 🙂) with smoke. Do you have a estimate of its condition now? I just can see that the "black one" beside, relative to this resistor(I don't know what it is) seemed getting hot too.
Mny tks!
This repair is very simple for someone who knows what they are doing. Even if the unmarked mosfets are also blown. Getting tips from a forum is a lot riskier. I hate seeing nice equipment getting destroyed.
So, could you give me some reasons for this blow? Could it be new driver tube? I change the 6922 with used bugle boys that I think of improvement in sound quality. Or may be I adjusted the bias point too fast, or sth else?
Hopefully you are not asking about the value 🙂

Hey Analog_sa,
Do you know about the value? I need that too. 🙂
If you have to ask, chances are you may cause some further damage. Do you solder well? Can't you get a good TV repairman to fix it for you?
Of course, man. I have a lot of men who knows much about electronics here. I just wanna find the right parts as it was because I don't want them to replace it with sth equivalent or combines many to get the right value. If you have to ask, chances are you may cause some further damage. Tks!
