Hi all
My Audeze LCD 3 aren't exactly comfortable. They hurt on the top of my head, so I can't use them for listening sessions much longer than 30 minutes or my head will hurt for the rest of the day. My reference of headphone comfort is my Audio Techica ATH 700, which has a clever "split" headband, so the weight does not sit on the top of the head.
I am thinking of transferring the Audio Technica headband to the Audeze. However, that will involve quite a bit of mechanics skills and tools, and will break the Audio Technica cans, so I thought I'd ask if somebody has ever done (or at least thought) of modifying the Audeze phones to improve the comfort.
Any ideas?

I do not have experience with the LCD but I had this problem with a Shure SRH440 I really hated it because my head (like the bone itself) did hurt.
I made a "second headband" with a shape that fills the gap between my head and the headphones headband. It was looking like a bridge.
I cut the shape from semi-hard foam and covered the whole thing with leather. Four strings held it in place like shoelaces to the headband.
It worked for me.
I don't have it nor the Shure so can not show You the thing.
None of my prior headphones nor the later ones had this issue ever...
