Hi,
I am making some acoustic measurements of a Fostex FE206EN in Fostex recommended BLH enclosure.
https://www.fostexinternational.com/docs/speaker_components/pdf/FE206En.pdf
I have successfully made gated measurements >200Hz and nearfield measurements of the speaker.
When measuring the output of the horn mouth should the measurement be PIR scaled to match the area of the speaker?
(Edit -> Scale amplitude , PIR Scaling : (Aport / Aspeaker)*0.5 )
The area of the horn mouth is much greater than that of the speaker and when I have loaded and summed measurements the magnitude looks unrealistic.
The summed magnitude tends to match the Fostex literature when unscaled.
Regards
Phil
