UTC "S" numbers are from the "special series" of transformers. Your S-29s are chokes rated at 6 Henerys, 175 mA, 90 ohms w/1500v insulation. This is per my massive mid sixties Radio Electronic Master cataloge.
So would they be good in a power supply for a high powered amp? I also got a 350-0-350 power transformer with a couple 5v taps and a coupled 6.3 taps.
any idea what these might work well in?

The rated 175 mA. is barely adequate for a stereoblock employing 4X "12" W. tubes. However, you have 2 chokes. 🙂 Build a pseudo dual mono B+ PSU that shares the 1st filter cap., but employs separate LC reservoir sections.
Thanks Eli. I was thinking of a SET amp but I don't know design. I can build anything but understand what 175ma means. When you say "12" W tubes, what does that refer too?
Here is a screenshot of the transformer I have. It is a Thordarson T-70R62. I "think" I have a pair of output transformers hold up in a box somewhere. But I don't know if they are PP or SET.

The 6BQ5 and 6V6 are "12" W. tubes.
SET amp, hmmm.
The Sovtek 2A3 is tougher than NOS. Those would be your "finals". Use a 5R4 rectifier, for its (beneficial in this case) large forward drop into a small 1st filter cap. of (WAG) 2.2 μF. and on to the paired LC reservoir sections.

Thanks Eli. I have a stash of AZ1 rec tubes with sockets. How would one if those work if I knock the 5v to 4v?
Does the "12" refer to the heater voltage?

The "12" W. refers to allowable plate dissipation. High power requires high current and that Thordarson "iron" can't deliver it.
Save the AZ1s for another time. Jim McShane charges $12.50 for a well tested 5R4WGB ("potato masher").
