All,
New owner of an Arcam AVR 300. I have recapped the main board and the receiver operates nearly perfectly and sounds really good!
However, the fans come on a few minutes after the receiver turns on. The heatsink is barely warm.
I know that there were an early batch of 300s that had this problem. Normally the fans should only turn on if the unit is truly overheating. There was a fix Arcam did, perhaps replacing the thermistor or a mod to the supporting circuit.
Does anyone have the details on how to fix it? Replace the thermistors? Mod the board?
Thank you!
