Apogee Diva changing x-over between mid and high

Hi,
I would like to lower the crossover point between mid and high ribbon.
Actually it's arround 12 kHz/12 dB.
With the midrange ribbon width of 0,
.79 inch, beaming occurs at the actual x-over frequency.
My goal would be arround 3.5 kHz/ 12 dB separation.
Anybody tried it?
You think, the high ribbon could handle 3.5 kHz?
