I cant remember the model number of it, but do remember it being very small, and costing around $1200. ( as I remember it was about the size of a CD or something.)
Good, I'm not on crack. I was telling someone here at work about them and they said it wasnt possible, even though I had seen one. As I remember the big drawback was the lamp only lasted a couple hundred hours....

Yes they did exist, I have used them (around 1995). But they were somewhat greater than a CD. Actually there were two versions a B&W version and a color version. There was a simple 50W-halogen lamp inside and the light output was not much. If I remember well, there was also a similar one from Sharp.
