I have spent some considerable time realising that AV processors are a compromise and as I am running 7.3.0 with no overhead channels and high quality amplification and definitely appreciate that replacing analogue out is an expensive compromise.
I wondered if anyone had added additional power supplies, modified a supercap and improved the AV2 ?
I also only need the unit to do multichannel analogue out

Thanks, any ideas of how I might improve the AV2m I have a spare one to trial with and I think with the upgraded Panasonic 9000 and more improvements I will be sticking with analogue out for multichannel
By the way the caps are ELNA's, but not silmic's

"The "SILMIC" series of aluminum electrolytic capacitors for acoustic applications uses an entirely new type of electrolytic paper. " So, it may be good. (I wrote opposite before 🙁 Or any audio type caps.
I used the good caps for only coupling. I tried panasonic FC types in my amplifier (Nad c352). They really changed the sound.
For polyester type caps, you can use MKP type. A little better then poly caps.

I have used Silmics and FG's in my Panasonic 9000 player and very pleased with the results, I am also thinking of re using the unused (for me) RCA in sockets as I can then route all channels in parallel t the main speakers to a Mini DSP 10x10 HD, this will allow me to EQ each channel with the subs, at the moment I only use subs for LFE and are forced to crossover higher than I would like if I choose 'small' in the Panasonic
I have had a look and stripped the spare unit. I have ordered some Silmics so will swap out the 10uf 35V and see if there is an improvement, I cant seem to locate a set of BHC smoothing caps so they are replaced as well, but this unit is a late model and I don't want to swap out the tants either so probably leave in any case.
I will re-use the RCA analogue ins to rewire as analogue outs as I need additional analogue outs to run in parallel to feed a 10X10 miniDSP HD so I can add subs to channels set to large. any ideas which components I should desolder to disconnect the RCA's to the existing circuit I'll hardwire from the other RCA's to the back of the sockets for parallel connections, but would mike to leave them in place if possible
It just feels sensible to remove the input connections I can take out the resistors but it looks like the relays might still be connected ?
Its the 8 unused red RCA's I want to repurpose

All done, yet to rewire the additional outputs and blow £700 on a 10x10 HD miniDSP, but relays and resistors removed from the RCA analogue ins.
38 silmics now in place. A very worthwhile upgrade, I'll await the fill burn in but already additional resolution, dynamics and tonal density. It sounds richer, weightier and more resolving, more in the room and real. I'd liken this to the sort of results seen with a power supply upgrade. Very happy

Anyone point me in the right direction for Super Reg power supply tweaks. I’ve been reading about this and if I can build some regs and wire in I might be brave enough to try
The Transformer has 15v and 10v feeds and the LPS has four LM317 regs

I did get a bit lost, my current thinking is to see if I can locate something like this and see how I might implement in the AV2 Super Regulator – diyAudio Store
I’m guessing you remove the LM317 and replace the DC voltage outputs with these in place (working through the input feeds and output feeds and voltages etc ?
