Has anyone made a "better" house for there Technics 1200? I am nearly without a project and my 1200 is very battered cosmetically. I think its a really great turntable (it spins Vinyl at 33.3 very accurately) so maybe put it in a better sounding and looking box could only improve? Or has Panasonic, with more money than I will ever see, already got it right
I have read the SP-10 links.
I gather that a block of wood, layered, with a hole in the middle, correctly damped is about the size of it (huge simplification I know), so if anyone has done this before, please tell me what u did wrong🙂

Thanks for the links. I was sort of thinking along the "inspire hi-fi" but without the strobe, speed control, and not a big empty wooden box. The original plinth is pretty involved. Probably stay with that unless I could improve it. I guess thats my question, can the 1200 plinth be improved?
Thanks
