Anyone know of this alleged 2x500W amp with onboard suppy?

I found this while quickly looking through a sellers items on ebay:

Anyone know what it is? Is it any good?

It looks like a iraud 7 amp, with smps and speaker protection, I'm sure it can do the claimed watts, but distortion will likely be 5% or more at those levels,

Who, their right mind, cares about power at those distortion-levels?
Apart from looking good in the listing that is.

Irs2092 is a rather nice sounding amp, below 100w it should be decent

What will it run? For sub duty it probably perform good, and it can be bridged.

I was mainly curious. I have two L20D boards with both SMPS and a linear supply to choose from.
Haven't gotten around to testing the amp though.

Your ld20 boards are similar, the prospect has an added input buffer, lf356 I believe, for inverting to bridge mode.

I build two mono board from jlester a member here, with irs2092 chip, and much better output inductor, and totempole drive, which theese Chinese boards dont have.
Its bare boards so it takes more effort, but much better amplifier.

From what I can see there are transistors between the chip and outputs so these might have extra drive. I also see two opamps so it might have in input buffer too. These could be better than evaluation board types.

Could also be schotsky diodes
