I have an interesting problem: a serious single-pass cassette deck (auto-reverse? No, thank you!) that's been idle for a few years.
It's a Kyocera unit, once the top of the line, with controls reminiscent of the Nakamichi units of 20 years ago. This beast has beautiful controls; everything is soft-touch machined aluminum, with servos to do all head and platform movements.
I bought it together with their top CD model, a nice (ceramic platform and guides, of course, coming from Kyoto Ceramics) matching device. Later this afternoon, I'll dig em out of the closet for the model numbers.
I used to have the service manuals for both, and would like to give them a tweaking. Any Kyocera aficionados out there?
Stay tuned...
Bobby

Kyocera DA610
I happened to audition a Kyocera DA610 cd player back in 1985. It sounded great but I couldn't afford it. I came across the same unit on Ebay. I bid on it and got it for $ 60. I just received it and it still sounds great and it's in really good shape. I wish I had the manual. Everything is self explanatory except the remote function. It didn't come with the remote control. If anyone can shed some light on this unit I would appreciate it.
