Sorry, I'm not used to various shipping methods. Looks like UPS is cheaper at $8.

Sorry again, Scott. It seems my UPS truck driving friend gave me the wrong info. The original figure I gave you for shipping is correct.

There doesn't seem to be much interest here so I guess I toss 'em up on ebay in a few days. Funny, I thought all you guys would be interested in saving some woofer dollars.

Of course I just got through alienating all you football fans . . .

I would like to have your impressions about this woofer. How good do they sound?

My friend will build a subwoofer soon, I guess a pair of these would be perfect.

I recommended him Adire Audio and the like, but at this price, it's a very very good deal !

In the correct enclosure they sound excellent. Yes, a pair would please the majority of DIYers.

im assuming those are the series II woofers from partsexpress?

I have 16 left with some tentatively spoken for. Yes, they are the Series II from PE.

If you buy a plate amplifier to go with it, it will require zero electronic work, besides maybe soldering amplifier wires with the speaker terminals.

You could go sealed or ported, sealed is easier for a beginner, but I started with a ported box and it's not that hard.

I may buy one or two; however, I am a beginner, and don't want to bite off more than I can chew.

What type of subwoofer would you recommend building with this driver, and how much electronics work would it require?

Do you have a 5.1 or better unit with built in amps or a regular 2 channel stereo?

If the former, all you need is a box around it. If the latter, a box and a plate amp.
