I've never heard of a Chinese company named manfred. There is/was an English valve outfit called Mullard. Now there's a device called a hexfred but it is solid state, not a tube. Come to think of it, there once was a device called a manfredman. It was employed as a modulator for a system called an Earth Band.

Looking by the messy tangle in the envelope base ....Far East certainly made this one....looks like

pin 1 = anode triode
pin 6 = anode pent
pin 7 = g1/2
pin 8 = screen + poss g3,K Pent
Pin 9 = grid triode

I agree with SY

The ECF80 is it's western twin. looking at an old 7199 it seems darned sim....however that was spudded together a bit better.

rich

6an8 7199 6au8 6gh8 or ecf86

the tube seems to be syrylic alphabet referenced by

6F2
or
equivalent in chinese fonts....

in fact if this tube comes from any dynaco-heathkit
el34 push-push 40w amplifier like audio institute or dynavox
VR70 ...whitch are st70dynaco 2*35W replica (2*40W for the
markIV)

you should pratically be sure that is't a 6an8 or 7199
equivalent....

obviously....
I'am trying to know by what this
"f----k" 6F2 ,whitch is in my
dynavox vr70e is!?

. ......i'am not sure yet of pin out
compatibility of this little triode/penthode common heating
if it could be safetely replaced by a 7199. 6AN8
6AU8 6GH8 6BL8 E80CF or ECF86

..the most audiophile of all noval triode-penthode
(AND problably more linear than THE
excellent power triode-Pentode(9W) ECL86....)
.....is the 7199....
.but some tweakers prefers replace
the ORIGINALS 6an8 or 7199
by a EC86+EL86 or EL86+1/2 ECC81
....for that see:
