hey, I have built a diy video projector with a dukane 680 overhead and a 15" polaroid lcd hdtv. the lcd doesn't have controls to adjust screen width and length so I am trying to figure out a way to see the full Image by doing something with the projector. I really hate having the corners cut off when playing a video game on it and you can't see certain game stats which might be in the corner. I have considered putting small light bulbs under the corners but assuming that is even bright enough to work it would still be very blurry. I also considered modding the projector to cut out the corners but the fresenal is screwed into it. I was thinking mabye I could lift the lcd up about 5 inches or so but I am struggling to think how this would work either.
any suggestions ?

if you run your lcd on your computer and havd video input in your pc you can use powerstrip or more expensive hardware scaler with vga out and use it direct
yeah, I considered that, but I cannot find a video capture card that has component video inputs!!!!!!!!
I have also noticed that mabye I can cut out the triangular things that block the corners, and then get a new fresnal and put it on top of the glass on the overhead

thats an option i seen it done. but dude just get a smaller screen! 15" is massive. from izzotek you can get 10" hd with tv!!

Component as in YCbCr or BNC? Typically this is 3-5 plugs including R,G,B, and maybe H and V sync. If it's this you're talking about (which you probably are, since pretty much all capture cards take the other kind), then you have a different situation.
If your projector takes VGA, then you should be able to find some sort of component to VGA *CABLE*. RGBHV is part of the pins in a VGA cable. You do need the sync, so you should look into this.
Otherwise you need a PC to TV converter box. Find that somewhere.
