Any thoughts on the above? I have one on the way and was curious about possible mods (Not that I'm capable) 8 Burr Brown 1702..What exactly do I have here? Thanks!

I've never had a chance to hear that DAC, but it's very similar to my DIY DAC or EVM-1702 evaluation module, so I'm guessing it might sound good. As for upgrades, it all depends on your skills with a soldering iron. A lot can be improved there, I/V stage, regulators, replace CS8412 and NPC digital filter, decoupling.

Thanks for the response...Soldering iron and myself have never met 🙂 So a 3rd party would need to be involved for the Mod...
Definitely with 4*PCM1702 it has heaps of potential. Getting rid of those output opamps would be a first step....
Since I'm not capable of doing modifications is there perhaps someone out there who can do this kind of work? Any suggestions or direction would be appreciated 🙂
@stevensank was my first thought for a good guy to try but he's not been active on DIYA since 2022 and his profile has disappeared. So perhaps he's no longer in the business.
