Here's a "rough" translation of the "Everest" part on that page:
In the middle of the 80's Radio & Television published an article about a quarterwave horn based on different fullrange drivers from Fostex. Length and depth was the same and only the width of the horn was changed. To make the speaker stand more firmly a wider base should be fitted on it, alternativly a plate of cement can be bolted to the bottom. The speaker should be fitted with an 8 cm thick dampingcarpet immediately behind the driver. The speaker is also filled with hard-packed dampeningmaterial from the top which is packed less and less hard all the way down to the driver. It has been tried with several different drivers and models from different manufacturers. The experience of this speaker has been similar to the experience with the Voighthorn.
I hope it is "understandable" 🙂
