Any acoustical compromise in such a design?

I know i should ask this over at diymobileaudio, but whenever I've got a really technical question, they always send me over here.

Design considerations for a subwoofer only preferable for car audio. Would there be any acoustical compromise in such a designs?

For example

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
