As you know, many of DIY lcd people uses blue glass filters to increase color temperature.
I just thought about using "blue fluorescent bulbs" with a 4000-5000K metal halide lamp to increase color temperature.

Shouldn't they be a point light source, so as to work best with fresnels? Otherwise, not much of the light goes parallel through the condenser fresnel, correct?
As a side note, my Ushio has thus far proved great temp-wise. Maybe a bit blue (but I like my image more toward the blue side than the red side (and god-forbid, yellow!))

Actually I just put those bulbs randomly to show the idea. If someone has the equipment, it's worth to try imo. 🙂
