an amp for each voice coil?

I was thinking about buying another parts express 300-794 plate amp just because they are so cheap! 89 bucks! what would be the advantage of using a seperate amplifier for the two voice coils as opposed to using one amp in paralell? more wattage i would think.

It'll probably get some more power. If your voice coils are say, dual 8 ohm, in parallel, your'e currently getting about 272 watts into 4 ohms @ 0.2% THD. If you got another one, each voice coil individually would be 8 ohms, each getting 180 watts RMS into 8 ohms @ .1% THD.
