My PPI 2200 says 800 watts mono, doubt it but just say it does, if I hooked 2 subs to it briged, are they getting 400 each.
BTW:
If you bridge the amp to 2-4 ohm speakers (unless wired to an 8 ohm driver and this will be the same as 4 ohm stereo) you will smoke the amp.
ALSO-----
You won’t hear much difference between 400 and 800 watts to justify running the amp harder. If you are doing SPL competitions it is a different story where the 2-3 db SPL increase is a big deal.
If you run that amp @ 4 ohms stereo it will last 100 years. Running it at 2 ohms will shorten its life in the long run.
