amp speaker output voltage

I have a PPI PC2150 it seems to work fine but when using a test cd there's a 2.4V difference in output at the speaker terminals between left and right. I have another just like it and the diff is less than 1V. I adjusted both to put out 34V @1khz-0db bridged and when I looked at the gains they were in exactly the same spot on both amps. What is the normal variation in 2-channel amps using a single gain? All testing was done at the same volume position using a Clarion deck and i also tried switching the RCA's around to be sure the input voltage was the same and got the same results.

So a 30% variation in voltage is possible? When i hooked the amp up to a pair of speakers and played some music I could not hear any any difference in volume from either side. Any ideas on how I can narrow the difference? thanks
