amp installation help

i have a new car stereo and i want to connect it to a amp but there are no pre outs on the stereo. there is a space to connect to an amp accordding to the manual but it doesnt say what connector i need. its a little square with six pins. is it anything to do with a high level input connector?? please help. thanx. slarty

You can connect an amp to any system if you use a Line Level Converter (LLC). They convert the signal from your stereo's speaker outputs into RCA type preouts. Some amps have LLC's built in, and they call it Speaker Level Inputs.
