This driver seems to be the most i like in the Mark audio family. Amazing bass from such a small driver , and the reduced emission on highs its perfect for a Natural vocals to my 60's ears.
Which larger paper driver would be quite similar in tone and vocals Natural sound to those tiny jewels? CHP 90 or alpair 10P?
Thanxs ,would love to try One of those in my larger TL

Big fan of the CHP-70 gen 2 as well. I have a pair in the slim golden ratio cabinets and they never dease to amaze me. The SQ/$ ration is far beyond what one would think. I have an A-7P and plan to one day buy a pair of A-12PW drivers to build the two-way Dave Dlugos has designed.
I haven't heard the A-10P drivers, but I read a lot of great reviews about them.

The CHP have really good mids and decent bass, Top end is purposely shelved down 10 dB. You are unlikely to find a larger driver with the same shelf, bur something like the A10p does, IMO, do the “vintage” top end better, and also has a benign top (as opposed to little at all).

I like CHP90 mica, but I think alpair10P would be a good fit for ad010685.
Received the alpair 10P. Soft background break in initiated. I am puzzled by the double frame. The already installed one has no markaudio logo, while the spare One has It. Whats the use? Should be mounted over or its Just a spare One?
It is / was a trim-piece that when fixed / glued in place provides a little extra basket stiffening. Personally I never felt the need, but YMMV as always.
