I plug my EV sb120 powered speaker in 220vac but the power rating of the speaker is 115. i open it and there are some parts that has been damaged and the rest are unaffected. MCR218 which is a thyristor was blown. it so hard to find here in the Philippines. can you please suggest a good substitute for it. thank you so much.
The MCR72 is a sensitive gate version, but that should work. If you have noise triggering problems because of the more sensitive gate, you might need to place a shunt resistor from gate to cathode to desensitize it a bit. Check the pinouts to make sure you connect the new one properly.
