They call me Mister James and I’m a vacuum tube addict. Both my parents were quarter blood Cherokee as am I. My dad was a piano salesman, musician and a highly skilled instrument repairman. He retired from Rice Music in Colorado Springs and is interred in Penrose, CO.

Specialized in service and restoration of vintage tube radios and audio amplifiers. Services are also provided for classic guitar amps, effect gadgets, mixers and electronic keyboards. Expert level fault isolation, component-level repair and tweaking to restore optimal performance.

Established on New Year’s Day 2024.
I beat technology into submission with decades of professional experience. From 1971-1979: Served as a 30474 Master Radio Repairman in the USAF; Until 1999: Senior Engineer/Scientist for TRW Aerospace Division. Engaged in developing systems for covert surveillance and geolocation of voice and data transmission sites; Post Cold War: Lab Manager for Divicom; Wireless entrepreneur; Technical Director for video broadcast systems; Technical Marketing Director for Parrot Bluetooth; Chief Engineer for TerraSep with a patent on a superior centrifugal liquid chromatography device.
Fully retired for ten years. Today, I restore heirloom tube radios, vintage tube hi-fi, and vintage musical instruments. Primarily, tube guitar amplifiers, footboards, preamps, keyboards and mixers.
