hard work
Nice work!
Nice music will comfort you, soon.
By the way, if you got the components in Shanghai,
could I know where (address) you got? Thanks.

in shanghai , beijing east road (ke ji jing cheng) and si-chuang middle road and qiu jiang road , there is some electricity component store , much cheaper than abroad.

check out the cool Son of Zen resistors just hanging
out on the table... probably good for 2 watts or so 🙂
i guess the ground trace that goes all the way around
your front end board isn't giving you any trouble?
nice looking amp!

I assumed that the large power resistors were used for a dummy test load.
As for the ground trace going around, Mark Finnis did it in one of the first DIY Aleph amplifiers a long time ago in his pcb layout without problems:

I have seen others do the same layout also.

thanks for encouragement
to jh6you:
"ke ji jing cheng" is "science beijing building" on beijing east road.
to others:
thanks for encouragement, say something about power resistor,
when i first saw soz amplifier, i think i should build this. so i bought 8 dale power resistors, but at last i did not finish it because their huge heat and weight and money and space
so i decide to build alphe serial. when i match mosfet irfp250, i found these power resistor is useful , three resistors serial can get 24ohm, i use 30v 1A to match mosfet.
by the way i think these resistor can build 30w soz more than 2w.

HAHAHAAH those power resisters are more than 2 watts more like 40 or so. those are huge.

Shye shye again.
I will visit there and take a look around,
hoping they will also sell speaker corns and speakers.

i was just being sarcastic about the resistors... i knew they
probably had something to do with a SOZ at one time or another,
and i was right! 😉
So John, how does your Aleph sound? beautiful i'm sure.

there is no speaker and corn in which place i told you.
if you want to buy speaker, you should go to mei-ruo-cheng in xu-jia-hui. or hifi-plaza of qu-fu-lu , maybe in qiu jiang road has some speaker, but they are all low-fi cheating speaker .
to moe29:
🙂 my amp has some noise ,i am checking now, so i cannot tell you
sound quality . but one thing i can tell you, bass is good that i like very much . better than korsun amp (Red Rose Passion amp oem by korsun) i bought before.
