Aleph P1.7 : balanced or single ended output?

I would try the Pass preamp with an old Classè dr8 power amp that has both xlr and s.e. inputs, but it's not a truly balanced power amp and have read that its xlr inputs are not so good (ic and other problems of bad circuitation..) so they recommend to use the s.e. inputs.
Thanks for your lightning-fast reply.🙂

I've owned both the original Aleph P and the revision with the remote. The unbalanced out is just the positive leg of the balanced out, so there is no advantage to using the unbalanced out. Plus, you are more or less throwing away the common mode rejection that you'll get with balanced cables (not to mention the extra gain).
