Aleph 5 problem,or....

Dear All,
As I posted, last week, I have finished two monoblocks of Aleph 5. They are working OK except that I’m hearing some noise (probably bad ground). Yesterday while playing some music I’ve noticed that bas drivers (on one loudspeaker - Mission 753) are “dead”. Could somebody tell me is it possible that I have some problem with amplifier???
One questions more. I’m using standard electrolytic capacitors (those of 220uF-YAGEO). I have bypassed them with 0.470nF/400V WIMA-MKP capacitors, and I need to know is this OK???
Thank you at advance,
Toni

first-measure have you DC on out of that (suspicious) channel of Aleph;
if not-that's just coincidence;
are bass spks in that Mission box in series? if they are,if just one loose conductivity of flex wire from basket terminal to cone-both are silent
if they are in parallel , check them both.....

anyway-measure Aleph first......

regarding caps-they can have only sound related influence

now-take scrdrvr and pull that woofs out.......:clown:

tip for test:
connect 1V5 battery to speaker terminal
gently (one by one) push cone of bass (you can use cup as a "pusher" )
likely-if just flexy wire is out,in one moment you'll have sort of contact and spk will work for moment.....

Yesterday, when I've noticed the problem I've removed the speakers out. I didn't make a test with 1V5 battery, but I've pushed the cones gently and noticed that they are not working good, there is some noise (like grrr...grrrr), so I'm preaty sure that they are "dead". I will fix them, that is not a problem, I was thinking that I have some problems with an amplifier.
thank's

Aleph 5 clone issue

Hello all,
I build Aleph 5 clone. I have little issue with both channels. 100Hz hum.
Current bias via all Fets is set around 550mA.
AC current is set to 50%.

Do you have idea what could be wrong ? :worship:
