Aleph 5 - identification

Dear all,

I am looking for an Aleph 5 on E-Bay. It is a home built version. It is made of two mono blocs and the construction is looking quite good.

I am just wondering about the number of output transistors. I understand from the manual available on internet that each mono bloc should show 6 output Mosfets, and looking to the rails, I count 8...

Could someone help me to clarify this issue?

Thank you in advnce and Merry Christmas!

Cheers,

Dominique

It is the Aleph 3 that has 4 x MOS-FETs in the output stage.

The Alephs are all stunning amplifiers, I've got the monster Aleph 4 with 12 x MOS-FETs per channel.

As others have already said, build it how you want it. That is the great thing about the Alephs is their ease of scaling. Mine started as an Aleph 5 and then I added another set of outputs to make an even 8. Here is a link to it. I primarily did it because 6 mosfets didn't divide well onto the 4 heat sinks each of my mono's is built from. The good thing is I have more current available than an Aleph 5 for 4 ohm loads.
