Any LED's are suitable electrically as long as you include a series resistor to limit current. I would suggest 2k2 as starting point. As to what fits physically... you will have to measure the bulbs and see what can be made to fit.

I have not even dismateled yet the unit, but for what fits usualy in such aparatus are standard leds, now I am asking for what I can get for certain on Monday, 1,8V LEDs, what would be the entyre assembly consisting of?
Whether you use a "1.8 volt LED" which would suggest a red one or a white or blue at nearer 3 or 4 volts, it doesn't matter. You still need a suitable series limiter resistor.
Yes, depending on what the supply voltage is. Keep the LED current to below its max rating which is typically around 30ma. Many modern LED's are super bright on just a milliamp or so.
