Just wondering if anyone knows of a half decent, affordably priced Automatic Gain Control unit suitable for PA use?
AGC
Behringer have ones for around US$100 to US$150. Otherwise, find schematics on www.schematicsforfree.com. The DS-3 limiter on the site is OK for PA use.

Re: AGC
Any model numbers I should look at in particular? Also, altho not essential, a mic level input would be beneficial.dmfraser said:Behringer have ones for around US$100 to US$150.
Behringer
Models change all the time. Just look at their web site. Do a net search for the bets price. However, most limiters are just that. They go between the mixer/preamp. When you ask for a mic level input, then you want a pre-amp with a built in limiter. A much harder to find beast.

Behringer Ultramizer Pro DSP1424P is great for front-of-house PA.
Behringer SHARK is a compressor (also with delay) wich have input and output at line or mic-level.
