well, i 've just built bookshelves using fe103s and they clearly need some extra bass.
the offer for woofer is quite impressive and maybe someone can help me out?!
my design is to add two woofers cut up to at least at 200 / 300 hz, in small sealed boxes (25/30 liters).
ideally, the woofer should be made of paper, with a high efficiency (90db +).
any clue guys?

in other words, i'm looking for a very fast woofer that would go along with the fostex fe 103 sygma, really fast too!

If your taking one woofer per side they need to be very efficient,
much more than the Fostex due to baffle step correction, given
your box size and the FE103e cost i'd suggest this :

Crossed over at the BSC frequency series first order.
EDIT : just noted they will be in different boxes with different
BS frequencies, perhaps parallel Linkwitz / Riley 2nd order
would be better ?

Are you going to bi-amp or try to get a passive XO to work?
If you go passive, you'll need to get real close to the right sensitivity because you probably don't want to pad the FE103.
If you go active, it leaves you a lot more choices.
I've a couple projects on the go with similar goals. I'm using older vintage drivers (8s or 10s) that were designed to be very extended.
If you can go with a couple extended range woofers per side you can load them push-push, and gain some sensitivity. I'm working right now on a design for some ApexJr 8" to be used with FE103A. It will be active -- these drivers are not very sensitive, but they are quite extended on the top.
