Adjusting the Highs of a Class D Amp

A question for those who build their own class d amps. Is there a way, other than changing the input cap and output filter, to adjust the frequency response of a class d amp? I have several class d boards and they all sound different. The one I like best still has a persistent brightness, between about 5KHz and 10KHz.

The output filter will have an effect too.
